This image was created in TVPaint. I used the pencil tool to sketch the pose gesture from reference of baseball players swinging. After the gesture was solid, I switched to the pen tool and defined the separate areas of armor and clothing. Then I finished all the surface textures with fine strokes to simulate a traditional pen.

This is a Preproduction document, made with Photoshop and Illustrator. It is a visual development composite describing the the world and characters visually. Using story beats it explores the relationships of the characters in their environment.

This image was created in Photoshop and Illustrator. Meant as a nod to Shane Glines, I sketched out the rough figure in Photoshop. I then proceeded to import the sketch into Illustrator. After Live-tracing and cleaning it up I brought it back into Photoshop to add some texture to the lines.

I began with sketches on paper, scanned them in and used Illustrator to live trace and vectorize the image. I cleaned up the shapes and edges to push the appeal of the image and I used masking to attain the gradient over the entire image. The font is also my own creation. I used two separate fonts for the base and manipulated them and merged them to create it. The black and white corners were not in the original design and were added in Photoshop and incorporated into the mask.

This is another animation production piece. Separated into nine different layers, the camera pans from bottom to top in this scene. Created in Photoshop using several different brushes customized for my particular uses. The mountains in the background use a spotted airbrush with varied sharpness. The clouds were made with a bristle brush to lay down the color shapes and forms, and then I cleaned them up and smudged them with other brushes as well.

These are the two main characters of my short "Old Man Aero". A grumpy old inventor and his happy beaver assistant, this image was created in Photoshop and TVPaint.
